My second published book "O'Donovan from Garryowen" covers a period in my life as a young boy who lost his mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, uncle and aunt all in the space of thirty-nine months. Four of  my family died from one house alone.
The first eleven years of my life were spent living in Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen. The memories I have will always stay with me, as I recall growing up in this one very famous part of Limerick City.

What I had in common with a famous Irish American Author Frank McCourt, who wrote "Angela's Ashes", later made into a film. One of my grandmothers was born in the North of Ireland and one in Limerick city, as was the Irish American's. I went to a national school and got the free bun and milk. I queued up in the local dispensary to see a free doctor and got free medication when I was ill. I also spent some time in the same fever ward in the same city home and hospital, as did the Irish American Frank McCourt.

My books are published in Canada by www.Trafford.com and can be sent to any part of the world within days.
